Gay bars ibiza town
Ibiza is considered one of the top European LGBTQIA hotspots, with many contending that it's the optimal of all. Why? Ibiza is a clubbers and hedonists paradise and if that doesn't attract lgbtq+ and people of all other sexual orientations, we don't know what does.
There's so much more to it than that though. Ibiza had one of the first organised, if clandestine, gay scenes in Spain in the 60's – in short the island has a drawn-out history with gay culture as you will observe when you walk around the Gay and LGBTQIA area in Ibiza Town.
As well as a very good dedicated gay scene, you'll find that many places are mixed: here sexual orientation is attractive much a non-issue. There are some LGBTQIA / mixed nights in the super clubs, though you will find that just about most club nights are going to be LGBTQIA friendly. With so many world-beating and hugely influential club nights, you owe it to yourself to make it part of your experience.
Gay bars and clubs are mainly located in Ibiza Town, the fortified old town Dalt Vila and the suburb Figueretas – it's the gay hub of the island, especially in and around the road of Calle de la Virgen in the port area where you'll observe much col

As we've said previously, Ibiza generally is very same-sex attracted and LGBTQIA friendly, so you will feel welcome in each bar or restaurant, wherever you are on the island.
But there are also many LGBTQIA bars, mostly concentrated in and around Ibiza Town.
Calle de la Virgen is a small pedestrianised avenue in the old port area and the main meeting point of the LGBTQIA scene on the island. Countless small bars, restaurants, boutiques and desire shops line the cobbled lane lit by fairy lights, while drag queens try to lure you into their establishments and the sound of ecstatic voices fills the breeze. It's so narrow that you can't help but make contact with others. The Catalan name of Calle de la Virgen is Carrer de la Mare de Déu, discover it here in Google maps.
Another LGBTQIA hub is the nearby Calle Alfonso XIII, a side highway of Calle de la Virgen(Google maps). In the shadow of the capital wall you will come across one LGBTQIA bar next to the other. On the large terraces and roof terraces a colourful crowd shows off in their most extravagant finery.
Figueretas is a suburb of Ibiza Town and only a minute walk from the centre. It has a lovely beach and promenade and is very popular .
