My Thoughts & Experiences in the Vic Mignogna Situation
Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe. I am back with a more serious post all thanks to a video that a YouTube ego has made.
I was inspired to do explain my story about how I experienced my encounters with Vic Mignogna. Not sure if you own been on YouTube, Marzgurl or shall I misspelled that, has done an eleven hour, yes I am not joking about that length, video on everything that had taken place when Vic Mignogna was a voice performer which included his begin, popularity, his fan community, the Risembool Rangers which I was a part of, to how he treated people ranging in sexual orientation, religion, and even his former co-workers which led to his lawsuit and leaving the anime industry as a whole. I know, right? I do recommend giving it a watch since me and RJ had seen it and we both met the guy ourselves even before we started doing press at conventions. If you are a fan of video games or anime, chances are you may contain encountered the name Vic Mignogna at one gesture or another. It’s no surprise, as he voiced the main character Edward Elric in the “Fullmetal Alchemist” series, and is currently voicing the traits of Qrow Branwen in Rooster Teeth’s popular production “RWBY.” Or, he was until recently, when accusations of sexual assault, of both adults and minors, as well as accusations of homophobia, began to gain traction online. These accusations have lead to him being fired by both Rooster Teeth and Funimation and ridiculed online.
Some of the accusations have ranged from him hugging fans or kissing them on the cheek without consent, to him groping fans, as well as being rude to staff and homophobic in general. But without evidence, all these accusations can be considered is hearsay, rumors, or in some cases, flat out lies.
Probably the biggest factor in endorse of the groping and sexual assault accusations are countless pictures of Mignogna hugging fans of all ages, or sometimes giving them a kiss on the cheek.

Mignogna Deposition: Fan Interactions and The AffidavitsMignogna discussed his interactions with fans during his deposition on June 26. He was questioned by Monica Rial and Ronald Toye's lawyer Sean Lemoine about kissing underage convention attendees for photographs. Mignogna said that he no longer hugs or kisses underage fans for photos. He stated that he will permit fans who are "clearly adults" hug him if they ask and he verifies that a staff member heard the request.
Lemoine asked Mignogna if he agreed that kissing children is "creepy" which Mignogna denied.

Vic Mignogna is an American actor, voice-actor, and singer best known for his contributions to Funimation-produced English anime dubs. He voiced Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist,Tamaki Suoh in Ouran High School Host Club, Broly in Dragonball Z, and Qrow Branwen in RWBY.[1]
In 2019, several allegations of misconduct were made against Mignogna, and both Funimation and Rooster Teeth ceased working with him.[2][3]The controversy over these allegations is usually considered to be part of Animegate.
Fandom
Vic Mignogna worked in voice acting starting in the late 90's, but rose to prominence as a result of his work on the 2004 Fullmetal Alchemist anime. He fully embraced the fandom, naming his personal fanclub "The Risembool Rangers" after a location in the series. [4] He also recorded his have English version of a song from the series, "Bratja (Brothers)," which he occasionally performed at cons.[5][6]
He continued this trend of posting covers of songs associated with characters he played through his casting in Ouran High Academy Host Club as Tamaki and in Free! as Rin Matsuoka.[7]
