Denzel Washington is an Oscar winner who, with his wife of four decades Pauletta Washington, has raised four children.
The actor's family was by his side on March 23 for the opening night on Broadway of "Othello", in which he plays the title role alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
In addition to Pauletta Washington, three of the couple's four children -- Olivia Washington, John David Washington and Katia Washington -- attended the star-studded opening night.
The Washington children -- including fourth sibling Malcom Washington -- hold followed their dad into acting and Broadway.
The 2024 film "The Piano Lesson" was produced by Denzel Washington, directed and co-written by Malcolm Washington and executive produced by Katia Washington, while John David Washington starred in the film alongside Pauletta Washington and Olivia Washington.
The motion picture was based on August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning perform, which John David Washington also starred in on Broadway in 2022.

“Extra’s” Melvin Robert spoke with Denzel, who was beaming with pride from seeing his sons illuminate . He said, “It's their time, it's their moment. It's their time, it's their time.”
While he’s established for his acting, Denzel was involved in the movie as a producer. He commented, “It was and is an honor, you know, probably one of the greatest honors, professionally to be entrusted with this great material, and it's a life purpose for me now that that's what I'm here to do, and there's nothing I'd rather perform more.”
Pauletta said she was the set mom, taking care of the actors. She said, “Always, yes.”
Pauletta also dished on Thanksgiving preps, which are already underway! She shared that she'll be making "the traditional — greens, mac and cheese, yams, turkey, stuffing, cream corn.”
