Letitia Wright has maintained that she is not a 'transphobic, homophobic anti-vaxxer' after being asked directly about the past controversy.
The 29-year-old thespian opened up in a new interview amid the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in which she reprised her role as Shuri.
To refresh your memory, a couple of years back in the height of the pandemic, Wright shared an anti-vax video which also contained transphobic comments.
What's more, the video was by Tomi Arayomi, a pastor and YouTuber who has previously suggested LGBTQ+ people are 'invading the church' and used the term 'hell children' to describe people who go to Pride.
Wright initially defended posting the video, telling her followers: "If you don’t conform to popular opinions but ask questions and reflect for yourself… you obtain cancelled."
She then later apologised for sharing the clip before deleting her Twitter account.

Black Panther star Letitia Wright said she had deleted her Twitter account and apologised again for sharing a transphobic, homophobic, anti-vax conspiracy video in 2020.
At the end of 2020, Wright shared a link to the show On The Table hosted Tomi Arayomi, which featured his scepticism about vaccines while filled with anti-queer sentiment.
On The Table is hosted by two anti-gay brothers, Tomi Arayomi and Tobi Arayomi. Tomi is a controversial pastor who has claimed to be a prophet and not a medical professional and brought up doubts about the origin of the COVID-19 virus, vaccines and questioned issues like climate change.
Getting Cancelled
Wright tweeted out a praying-hands emoji alongside the link to the publish from Arayomi before universal outrage resulted in her shutting down her social media account.
After being criticised on Twitter, she said she wasn’t against vaccines, but it was vital to “ask questions”.

In the video from On The Table, a discussion channel, host Tomi Arayomi voiced unsubstantiated claims about the dangers of taking vaccines.
"I don't realize vaccines medically, but I've always been a tiny bit of a skeptic of them," Arayomi said, stating that he doesn't know if he can trust a vaccine for coronavirus. At one aim , he says those who decide to get vaccinated should "hope to God it doesn't make extra limbs grow."
Wright immediately establish herself in hot liquid with her fans, who condemned the star for using her platform to share misinformation.
