Solider 76 gay
It took about two years, but Soldier: 76 has been revealed as the second LGBTQ+ character in Overwatch by Blizzard. Of course, certain players aren’t happy about a unreal character coming out.
The expose was made through a new short story titled ‘Bastet’ (which you can download), confirming Soldier: 76 (Jack Morrison) is queer. He is now the second queer character in the Overwatch lore after Tracer.
As far as the story is concerned, former sniper Ana comes across a wounded Soldier: 76 in the streets of Cairo. She takes him endorse to her hideout. Considering it is the first time they have met since the explosion which rocked the Overwatch headquarters in Switzerland, they didn’t know the other was alive. Ana sees a picture of Morrison with a dark-haired man named Vincent.
“Vincent… I haven’t reflection about him in years,” Ana said. “Still keeping a candle lit for him?”
Jack shook his head. “Nothing like that.”
“You’ve never looked in on him? You must have been curious. All the surveillance power in the world. I stake Gabe would have insert a Blackwatch agent on him if you asked,” Ana said.

Soldier 76, Gay Icon
Blizzard recently brought Soldier: 76 out of the closet. A new short story, Bastet, brings new lore about two fan favorites, Ana and Jack Morrison (or Soldier: 76). This comes a little over two years after Tracer was the first Overwatch character to develop canonically LGBT+.
In this story, it’s revealed that Jack gave up a existence with Vincent for his career. Vincent is content now, with his possess family, his own existence. It’s clear that while the past is the past, Jack still cares for him.

Writer Michael Chu tweeted specifically that Jack identifies as gay. With Vincent still alive and well, Bastet avoids the “bury your gays” trope that plagues media featuring LGBT+ characters.
Deja Vu
Soldier: 76 is now the second LGBT+ Overwatch character. There are many similarities to when Tracer’s sexuality was revealed. This reveal also came in a bit of lore that not every player is going to see. While both Soldier and Tracer will own sprays featuring their loved one, that’s about all there is to be seen in game.
The similarities don’t stop there. Just like in
Overwatch Short Story & Penner Confirm Soldier: 76 Is Gay
It turns out that a second character in Blizzard's Overwatch can offer players some LGBTQ representation, as Soldier: 76 has been confirmed to be gay. Soldier: 76 is the game's second queer character; Tracer's sexuality was similarly detailed in a comic two years ago.
Lately, Overwatch has been in the news for less than perfect reasons. Not long after Ellie, a female player, left minor-league team Second Wind due to the harassment she received, it was revealed that Ellie was a fabricated persona made up by streamers as a "social experiment." The strange situation transpired amid the backdrop of broader issues at Activision Blizzard, the studio behind the popular team shooter. So Overwatch, along with the corporation guiding it, has been in a bit of a touchy place.

Polygon reported on "Bastet," the short story that revealed 76's sexuality. At one point in the story, 76 is with Ana, and he looks through a collection of elderly photos. Ana sees one of the photos, a depiction of 76 with another man, at which point 76 tells her about Vincent - the man in the
Is Soldier 76 still gay?

2 years ago it was confirmed Soldier 76 (Jack Morrison) is gay! At the period of “Bastet” short story. Yet afterwards there has been only hush-hush and as far as I recall Soldier 76 has received no new story whatsoever for him since then. Does Blizzard mean to ignore this condition of Soldier 76 or will there be a retcon of Soldier 76’s biography for Overwatch 2 (maybe making “Bastet” non-canon or retcon Vincent as just a friend or “wild experience” of Jack Morrison) or a conclude omission?
Tracer has received new stories which main attraction her lesbianism but Soldier 76 does not obtain the same treatment for his homosexuality. Make up your mind, Blizzard, Michael Chu is gone and eventually you will acquire to make a rise. Retcon or not?Tsunder-116692
