Gaylord Palms Resort will welcome couples to celebrate love and the spirit of the season during its Kiss-Story in the Making special event on December 7, , at pm when the resort will seek the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for most couples kissing under mistletoe in one location.
Sponsored by Experience Kissimmee, the area’s travel and tourism authority, Kiss-Story in the Making at Gaylord Palms will attempt to claim the GUINNESS Society RECORDS title in this smoochably-perfect KISSimmee location.
During what is certain to be a memorable and fun-filled evening, Kiss-Story in the Making will bring hundreds of couples together to lock lips under a fresh sprig of concrete mistletoe supplied by local floral designer Greenery Productions.
This festive and momentous occasion, which will be supervised by an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator, will take place beneath Gaylord Palms’ six-story Christmas vegetation in the grand St. Augustine atrium. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center Makes 'Kiss-Story'
This year, Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center and couples made "kiss-story" when they broke the Guinness World Records title for a timeless holiday tradition: most couples kissing under mistletoe in one location.
Under the watchful eyes of Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Empric, hundreds of couples puckered up for 10 seconds beneath individual sprigs of mistletoe. With couples successfully breaking the title, Gaylord Palms more than doubled the previous record of couples.
Kiss-Story in the Making, sponsored by Experience Kissimmee and in partnership with Mentos, added extra holiday cheer to Christmas at Gaylord Palms, which runs through January 7, The resort's annual celebration has welcomed guests from around the earth for 15 years and includes themed attractions, stay entertainment and more than 2 million dazzling lights.
